Compression

Compression therapy

Forty-five minutes in Normatec boots, doing nothing. The least demanding thing we offer and the one most people underrate until they have tried it after a heavy session.

What it is

Normatec compression applies rhythmic, wave-like pressure to tired muscles, the same equipment used across professional sport. Attachments cover legs, hips and arms. You sit, the system does the work, and you get up feeling like your legs weigh less than they did.

It pairs naturally with a recovery session: heat, cold, then sit in the boots while you cool down.

We are on Brisbane's northside in Sandgate, and compression books as its own 45 minute session.

Who it suits: Athletes, tradies, nurses, anyone on their feet, and anyone who has ever finished a session and wished they could sit down for a bit longer.

How we run it

  • Forty-five minutes, booked by start time.
  • Wear something comfortable. The boots go over your legs.
  • Tell our team if the pressure is too much; it is adjustable.
  • Not suitable if you have a blood clot, DVT history, or an open wound on your legs. Speak to your doctor first.

Why people use it

Heavy legs

After training, a long run, or a full day standing. This is the one people book for.

Circulation

Rhythmic pressure supports blood flow through tired legs. That is the reason the equipment exists.

It asks nothing of you

No heat to tolerate, no cold to steel yourself for. You sit down and it happens.

Add it to a session

Forty-five minutes of doing nothing at the end of a recovery session is a very good use of $30.

Common questions

Does it hurt?

No. It is firm, rhythmic pressure, and it is adjustable. Most people find it pleasant.

Can I book it with a recovery session?

Yes, and it is the best way to use it: heat, cold, then the boots while you cool down.

Who should not use it?

Anyone with a blood clot or a history of DVT, an open wound on the legs, or a circulation condition. Talk to your doctor first and tell our team.
